The other day I was talking with someone in a very passionate tone about a subject matter that is very dear to my heart and in discussing this with them they ask me a simple question; What Are You Trying to Convince Me of? The answer is nothing, I only wanted them to think, once they had done that it was irrelevant to me what they might conclude.

A person convinced against their will is on the same opinions still.

The fact of the matter is that if I wanted to convince them of something and succeed at it, my best advice it so to tell them what they want to hear. Because in reality that is all a human will ever be convinced of by another. So few people have open minds - so few people will listen to the facts or hear other points of contention or study beyond their own frame of reference. If I wanted to convince you of something I would tell you that;

You are so beautiful

Yes, and then you would be so very happy and like me and then you would not feel bad or get on the defensive for me simply pointing out something that is outside your selected reading material or boxed in belief system.

But that is not my mission, my job is to teach you to think and wake up. If you cannot do that, then you are so beautiful to me.
